FOCUS AREA: INTERNATIONAL SECURITY & NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY

J. Emma Stokien is pursuing a master’s degree in Security Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. with a focus on international security. Emma earned her commission as a Marine Corps officer in December 2012 and served as an intelligence officer with the Third Marine Division G-2 on Okinawa, Japan. In 2016, Emma was selected for a tour at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. Transitioning to her civilian career, Emma is looking forward to joining the Office of Enforcement Analysis at the U.S. Department of Commerce this fall. Emma continues to serve the veteran community through Service to School and Veterans for American Ideals.
