Jessica Houghton

FOCUS AREA: NATIONAL SECURITY AND PUBLIC POLICY

Jessica is a Navy veteran who completed three deployments on the USS George Washington with Squadron VAW-115 from 2010 to 2014. She was awarded Sailor of the Year at her command and two Navy achievement medals. Following active duty, Jessica served as an intelligence specialist in the Navy reserves from 2014 to 2017. She is an alumnus of American University, holding an MS in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy and a BA in Political Science. In 2016 Jessica was selected as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Labor and served as the Special Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans Employment and Training. She currently serves in the Defense Intelligence Agency where she works as an Operations Support Officer.
