FOCUS AREA: INTERNATIONAL PEACE & SECURITY AND REFUGEE CRISIS
 

Kristofer Rivera is  U.S. Marine Corps veteran with 5 years of experience serving as a Middle East Cryptologic Linguist. After graduating with an Associate’s of Arts in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute, he deployed to the Middle East and played an active role in our nation’s foreign policy efforts while helping to improve and sustain relations with a close ally. He has developed a passion for diplomacy and facilitating cross cultural communication. Since transitioning out of active service, he has stayed active as a volunteer and am continuing part time work as a linguist for the Army National Guard. Upon completing his studies in international relations, he plans to continue his service to our nation at the Department of State.
