Maureen Elias is an Army veteran and served as a counterintelligence agent in the United States Army from 2001-2006. A graduate from Campbell University, Mrs. Elias is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. She is an intern at Creative Alternatives, a Johns Hopkins program. In January of 2017, Maureen was selected to be a High Ground Veterans Advocacy Fellow. Her work as an advocate led to her recent employment on the Vietnam Veterans of America Veterans Health Council. Her husband is an active duty Army officer and they have three children. She was recently named 2017 Fort Meade Spouse of the Year. She also volunteers as an ambassador for the Travis Manion Foundation.
