FOCUS AREA: NATIONAL SECURITY AND GEOPOLITICAL RISK ANALYSIS

Oleg Oleinic served in the Air Force for ten years as a medic, arms control inspector, and military interpreter. His last assignment was with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Europe, where he supported senior Foreign Affairs Officers on international military inspections and represented the U.S. Government on NATO missions. He has a Master’s in Intelligence Studies from the American Military University. Currently, he is consulting for federal agencies by leveraging his cultural expertise and advanced language proficiency in Russian, Romanian, Turkish, and German. His awards include a Gold Medal in a nationwide language competition and a critical language scholarship at Georgetown University. Pursuing a career in diplomacy, he aims to join the next generation of scholarpractitioners at CFR’s International Affairs fellowship.
