FOCUS AREA: PUBLIC POLICY AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Currently an undergraduate studying Archaeological Anthropology and Political Theory at The School of General Studies at Columbia University in the City of New York, Parker Hovis is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who served with 3rd Battalion 11th Marines as a Forward Observer from 2011 to 2015. At Columbia, Parker is an active member of student organizations both related to his status as a Veteran as well as those that further his academic interest. In addition to his studies at Columbia, in 2018 Parker became the first undergraduate fellow at Columbia University for Veterans for American Ideals under Human Rights First, an organization that promotes human rights and uses our unique platform as veterans to reach new audiences of Americans.
