FOCUS AREA: ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES AND VETERAN HEALTH

Rebecca served six years in the Navy, including one deployment to the Persian Gulf. She was selected as 2008 NIOC GA Shore Junior Sailor of the Year. Following separation she earned her BS in Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where she served as president of Student Veterans of America at UWM and the inaugural veteran advocacy senator in Student Association. Rebecca then completed a service year at SVA National as an AmeriCorps VISTA, after which she began graduate school. She recently completed a fellowship with The Mission Continues, serves as a program representative in Graduate School Government, and remains connected to SVA through TerpVets. Rebecca intends to focus her career on veteran health outcomes related to environmental and occupational exposures during military service.
